Owners of Roku devices will be able to access the live TV guide thanks to the Roku OS 10.5 update, which now offers more than 200 channels for free streaming.
Users can install "Live TV on The Roku Channel" after updating by searching for it in the same way they would any other app or streaming service.
Additionally, Roku claims that its voice command capability covers "almost every channel" in search for users who traverse the Roku experience using voice commands.
The two previously significant exceptions that are now supported are Spotify and Netflix.
Additionally, a new music and podcast row in search should ease navigating somewhat. Roku is collaborating with Spotify to introduce the new search feature with the update.
Finally, Roku users may have noticed that the company's mobile app just underwent a slight makeover. The business started introducing new home tab and save list capabilities in the middle of August.
The latter can be found on the bottom panel to the user's left of the Roku Channel tab.
"We are delighted to offer a platform full of choices while still giving our users an easy-to-use experience because we are aware that not everyone interacts with their TV in the same way.
