According to KTLA sister station KRON, the State of California will begin giving out inflation relief cheques next month.
More than 20 million Californians will receive direct payouts as part of the Middle Class Tax Refund programme.
Depending on your salary and the number of dependents you have, the payments will be between $200 and $1,050 in amount.
The state has developed a Middle Class Tax Refund Estimator tool that allows you to enter your information to determine how much you will receive to assist you in calculating how much you will get.
Direct deposit or debit cards will be the two options for issuing the payments.
You should anticipate a direct transfer if you submitted your taxes electronically.
The Middle Class Tax Refund is not available to anybody making more than $250,000 annually, $500,000 for joint filers or heads of households, or $500,000 for single taxpayers.
The first payments are expected to be sent out in October, and the majority of recipients should get their money by January 2023.
