On Friday, it appeared as though the tournament was done. After starting in 32, Scottie Scheffler was miles ahead of the competition, but Xander Schauffele surged ahead in the last stretch.

Schauffele had a 29 on the back nine and completed his final three holes in four under during the second round of the Tour Championship at Atlanta's East Lake Golf Club.

He now trails the world No. 1 by two heading into the weekend.
