Welcome to

First Annual Vermintide Painting Competition!

This contest is a new initiative to celebrate all Vermintid artists and writers in the community!

This year’s theme is Journey to Chaos Wasteland to celebrate the release of the free expansion Vermintide II! The competition is divided into three parts:

1. Fanart: For fans of parasites who like to express themselves visually.
2. It’s amazing: For fans of parasites who love the written word.
3. Screenshots : For the competition photographers.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?

In each category there is one winner and one finalist (so a total of three winners and three finalists). The prices are as follows:

Winner:

1. A beautifully printed physical hardcover edition that combines all the entries into one volume.
2. A collection of high-end cosmetics (think new bras or ombre skins) of your choice.
3. A print-ready PDF of the entries that you can take to your local printer (or your home printer) without any prior preparation on your part.
4. A PDF file of a collection of documents that can be read digitally.

Fugitive:

1. The DLC code for the Forgotten Relics weapon pack has been updated.
2. A collection of high-end cosmetics (think new bras or ombre skins) of your choice.

COOL. WHAT ARE THE RULES?

General rules:

• All contestants must use the contest talents for easy identification. If you don’t use this flair, you won’t be able to be judged / be part of a collection.
• One entry per artist, per category.
• PG-13 entries only. Gore has fallen apart to some extent. So if Fat Shark couldn’t turn him into a parasite without GW screaming, he wouldn’t be flying here.
• All entries must be received by 19. 20 May 2021, 11:59 PM EDT.
• All entries for the contest must be based on the theme (Journey to the Land of Chaos) and must have been made during the contest (so if you make something before the contest, you will not be eligible for the contest if you repost it).

Fanart rules:

• The image must be at least 300ppi.
• Art must be two-dimensional.
• There are no restrictions on whether you make things digital or traditional.

Fantasy rules:

• All applications must be submitted in English.
• Entries must be at least 600 words and no more than 2,500 words (there is a 100 word limit for slack).
• Contributions must be fictional (no meta describing how the game should be played/how Chaos Wastes should have been, etc).

Screenshots:

• Recording preferred, but not required.
• Take screenshots in the highest resolution possible.

FAQ

• Does Fatshark have a stake in this case? Other than providing DLC codes, no.
• Can I share the PDF online once I receive it? We’d rather you not share the print-ready version, but we can’t stop you. This would make the prize less exclusive to the participants and make Bardeen cry. Once the design is complete, web versions will be published for public information.
• Who will take care of the printing/shipping to the winners/design of the printed compilation? /u/Exanta will manage this part. She is a graphic designer and does this for a living. Please contact them with any questions regarding delivery, printing, etc.
• Any examples of what a collection might look like? Something similar was done last year, check it out.
• I didn’t win, but I’d still love to have a physical collection in print. Can I have one? Yes, of course. Only DM /u / Exanta on printing costs.
• Can I print the collection and sell it for a profit? No. GW will kill us, and in return we’ll have to hunt you down…. Shadow style.
