Latest OxygenOS Open Beta for OnePlus 8, 8 Pro & 8T is now available

The latest OxygenOS 11 Open beta for the OnePlus 8 and 8T series was released about a month ago. Like last time, OnePlus is releasing updates for the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and 8T simultaneously. The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will get OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 9, while the OnePlus 8T will get OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 3. These updates are available to users with the latest Android security patches.

Last month, these three devices also received a stable update right after the last beta. But after this month, we haven’t seen any updates for these three devices. And this is the first update this month for the OnePlus 8 series devices. We can also expect OxygenOS 11.0.6.6 for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. System

• Fixed bug that caused some application fonts to not display correctly after installing customizable fonts.
• Fixed a small probabilistic issue where the status bar could not be removed.
• Fixed minor likelihood issue where application icons were not displaying in the status bar.
• Fixed bug where missed calls were not displayed in the notification bar.
• Fixed a minor issue where an enhanced screenshot was no longer working.
• Fixed small probability problem where recording audio with headphones didn’t work as expected.
• Update the Android security patch to 202104

Camera

• A slight flicker in the picture preview in photo mode has been fixed.

Calculator

• Fixed abnormal display of the calculator under the split screen.

Display of the atmosphere

• The problem with the late update of contextual information via the IAB has been resolved.
• Fixed an issue where the environment screen switched to the canvas after changing device ownership.
• Fixed an issue with AOD where the time was displayed abnormally when the system language was Hebrew.

OnePlus Games

• A new data monitoring function has been added. You can find it in the game toolbar and track FPS/CPU/GPU changes in real time.

Gallery

• Improved gallery loading speed to speed up the image process

The same changelog for OnePlus 8 OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 9 and OnePlus 8T OxygenOS Open Beta 3.

The latest versions of OxygenOS Open Beta 9 for OnePlus 8/8 Pro and OxygenOS Open Beta 3 for OnePlus 8T are available to beta testers as an incremental update. So, if you are using the latest Open Beta 9 or Open Beta 2 for OnePlus 8/8Pro or OnePlus 8T respectively, then you should have already received the update. You can also manually check for updates by going to Settings > System > System Updates.

If you have not received the update or want to try the new beta version of the stable version, try the following manual method.

• Charge your phone to at least 60%.
• Data backup
• A clean install is required to return to a stable design.
• Follow the same method for the OnePlus 8T

Steps to upgrade the OnePlus 8 to OxygenOS Open Beta 9

1. Download the latest OxygenOS Open Beta 9 zip file from the OnePlus forum or the Oxygen Updater application.
2. Copy the downloaded zip file to the phone memory. Keep it out of the way.
3. Now open your phone settings and go to System > System Updates.
4. Tap the Settings icon, and then tap Local updates.
5. Select and install the OxygenOS Open Beta 9 zip file.
6. Restart your phone and enjoy the latest OxygenOS update.
