Preschool children who are cared for in day care centers currently do not spend enough time playing outdoors.
According to CNN will report, three quarters of American children between the ages of 3 to 5 who receive care in an institution, they need more physical activity, which provides an important tool to prevent obesity, and to develop his body and their cognitive system.
As part of research, scientists spoke with staff from 34 child care facilities in Cincinnati and found that these places often emphasize more on learning in the classroom than outside it.
Among the reasons to be carried out this method, researchers found that parents and teachers sometimes fear the safety of minors during the time of year so try to keep them occupied indoors. Also, government rules themselves around play areas continue to be increasingly stringent which makes it even harder to process.
Experts recommend that preschoolers get 90 to 120 minutes of daily activity that are routed outside the classroom or the home at least twice a day for healthy development of their minds and bodies.
